Meet Cathrynn

Cathrynn Brown has served honorably as an active and positive influence in our community. Mother, Lawyer, Wife, Volunteer, State Representative -- she has led by example in every aspect of her life. 

Cathrynn is a graduate of Reed College (Portland, Oregon) and the University of Idaho College of Law.  She's recently retired from practicing law in Carlsbad, New Mexico.  

For the past ten years, Cathrynn has been representing the eastern half of Eddy County (District 55) in the New Mexico House of Representatives.  She's a member of the Appropriations and Finance Committee and the Transportation, Public Works, and Capital Improvements Committee.  She also served eight years on the House Judiciary Committee and chaired two committees of the New Mexico Legislature from 2014 to 2016.  Cathrynn is a long-time, active member of the National Council of State Legislatures’ working group on nuclear energy issues.
